Auburn's ArtRageous: Artists in Action Arts Fair

Experience art through artist-led demonstrations and hands-on activities as part of Auburn’s ArtRageous: Artists in Action Art Fair on Saturday, July 25, 11- 4 pm at Auburn’s Les Gove Park, 1005 12th St. SE. Visitors of all ages can interact with professional artists presenting demonstrations in a variety of art media, from painting to woodworking, and offering related hands-on activities. Art will also be offered for sale.
This free one-day art extravaganza celebrates the visual arts and invites attendees to both observe techniques and create their own artwork. Artist-in-action booths include Pottery, Marquetry, Printmaking, Silkscreening, Yarn Spinning, Encaustic, Watercolor, Plein Air Painting, Paper Maché, Textile Art, Relief Sculpture, Calligraphy and Wood Carving. Additional highlights will be a ‘Trash to Treasure’ participatory eco-collage that will be later displayed at Auburn’s City Hall, an opportunity to paint an Art Car, musical performances, as well as dynamic temporary art installation.
While the festival is focused on fine arts, ArtRageous is also a family friendly event. In addition to the various hands-on art activities, attendees can take advantage of lunch items and ice cream Sundays for sale, face painting, all with the Les Gove Spray Park within easy reach.
