The Solution to Today's Marketing Challenge
Recent marketing studies have shown that advertisements from all mediums are largely ignored except for two distinct types:
* Highly-relevant local ads - giving a person something (an ad, free sample, coupon, etc) that is immediately actionable and relevant to their current situation and needs
* Trust-based - a recommendation to a new business from a friend or from another trusted local business is far more valuable than seeing a flyer or anonymous newspaper ad
Kat has started a Hyper-Local, Trust Based Cooperative Advertising network to develop an advertising plan that eliminates high-cost online and print ads and gives us access to each other's customers. She does this through:
* Physical distribution and Profit Share of a Savings Guide
* Reoccurring 'Goody-bags' give aways that highlight members businesses in the ad network
* Newsletter Feeds and Swaps
* Online Ads - hosted and managed ad server (we serve ads on all our own websites from businesses in the ad network)
* Trust Based Referral Program
* Blended Events
* Product Placement at Brick and Mortars, expos, etc...
She wants to help us build OUR OWN local ad channel. As small business owners, we know that traditional advertising keeps us out of the loop. No one knows each other and our customers don't either! Let's leverage our relationships and combine them for a better result for all of us.
