Mac iPod Sync Instructions

The below instructions will guide you through the steps necessary to view your calendar in Apple's iCal application and sync your Spongecell calendar to your iPod.

1. To begin, sign in to your Spongecell account and make sure you have at least one event in your calendar. Create an event titled "I love Spongecell" that starts today. At the bottom of the screen click the link Publish/RSS.

2. This is the popup window with information on sharing your calendar. We recomend that you click "Add Private Key" if you haven't already done so. This will create a secret password to be included in the URLs. This password grants access to ALL of your events.
3. Next, click on the link that begins with webcal://. iCal should launch.

4. Click Subscribe. Your calendar will be imported to iCal and you should see your events.

5. Under your calendar details in iCal you should see an option for auto-refresh. Set this to update every hour so iCal stays in sync with Spongecell.

6. Next, plug in your iPod. iTunes should launch. From the menu, go to iTunes -> Preferences -> iPod -> Calendars.

7. Select your Spongecell calendar to be synchronized. From now on whenever you plug in your iPod your Spongecell calendar will be automatically updated onto your iPod! To see the results on your iPod, go toExtras -> Calendars.
