The Promote Center

The Spongecell Promote Center is where all the magic begins - it's our user-friendly interface you can log into anytime to manage all your promotions. Upload event information, create and publish interactive calendars and dynamic event pages across websites, blogs and MySpace pages, send emails and SMS messages.

The Promote Center gives you access to all of our event publishing tools in one central location with a dashboard display that makes it easy for you to take care of all your promotions at once. Check out all of Spongecell's cool publishing features and in the next section we'll show you how to Gauge the Buzz in realtime with detailed reports of how your event spreads virally.

Create Calendars and Events

To get started the first step is to create an event. You can easily organize all your promotions by event and by calendar. You can create multiple events for each calendar, and you can you can create multiple calendars to which you can add and remove events.

The Promote Center's event creation templates make it easy and uncomplicated to upload your event information. Just go step-by-step and enter the title, time, location, and description, and then click the box indicating to which calendar you want to publish your event. Really, it's just that simple!

You can also create multiple events at once by uploading them in CSV and iCal formats. These are the industry standards used by event planners. It is also easy to use events you already created as templates for other events.

Interactive Calendar Widgets

Spongecell's Interactive Calendar Widgets let you easily publish your promotions on any website, blog, or MySpace page. Customize the look and feel of your calendar as you see fit, and then copy and paste one line of HTML code to drop the calendar anywhere online just like you would post a jpeg or banner. Add to Life Technology Technology then allows the user to add the event to their personal calendar, set reminders by email or SMS, invite their friends, or add to their MySpace page. We provide multiple types of calendars that can all be customized by size and color:

  • Traditional boxed calendar: just like the calendars we grew up with, except this one has a little pop-up graphic that shows event details when you scroll over any of the events listed in the calendar.
  • List view calendar: uses a Flash interface to show events in list form, chronologically. It smoothly transitions from list to event when you click on any of the events listed.
  • Event list calendar: is especially designed for MySpace, and can be easily dropped into a MySpace layout.
